While
Copperopolis has its roots firmly
planted in the past, this town
is looking forward to a bright
future. The new Copperopolis
Town Square, currently under
construction will enhance the
small town ambiance. The variety
of the landscape matches the
diversity of its inhabitants.
Tucked away among the rolling
hills covered with oaks the
surrounding area looks much
as it did when the copper miners
worked in the mines. In this
special haven the beautiful
setting, relaxed way of life
and close proximity to big city
amenities makes this a top spot
for newcomers.
Copperopolis offers a relaxed
quality of life in an outdoor
playground. Located in the heart
of the Gold Country Foothills,
Copperopolis has a mild four-season
climate, friendly people, and
undeniable charm. The residents
enjoy unlimited outdoor recreation,
well planned residential areas,
historic buildings and small
town atmosphere.
On
the fun side, Lake Tulloch offers
residents plenty of opportunities
to partake in water sports in
a sunny climate. Surrounded by
volcanic bluffs and breathtaking
Table Top Mountain, Lake Tulloch’s
waters are perfect for boaters,
swimmers, and anglers alike. Lake
communities grew after the development
of the dam in the late 50’s.
Since that time it has been a
popular spot to vacation for visitors
from the nearby bay area. Lake
Tulloch can produce some fabulous
fishing for big trophy trout and
bass. Its shoreline of 55 miles
and fingers allow gentle waters
for fishing and swimming. The
Stanislaus River feeds the lake
with pristine snow melt from Lake
Melones to the east. Why not try
a leisurely sunset cruise up the
nearly five-mile river with your
friends? Our concierge can arrange
it for you.
The
spirit of volunteerism is evident
through the thousands of hours
spent on the annual projects.
Volunteers manage the local
library, and the newly formed
Copperopolis Parks and Recreation
organization promises the creation
of beautiful public parks, nature
preserves, trails, and facilities
where members of any and all
of the neighborhoods can participate
in sports or other recreational
programs and provide educational,
cultural and enriching activities/classes
for all ages. The local volunteer
fire department assists the
Copperopolis Fire Department
in their duties and finds time
to put on a Melodrama, held
in the historic Armory that
is a favorite amongst the residents.
Life in this small town means
being involved with the community.
Residents and visitors enjoy
hiking, walking, horseback riding,
fishing, gold panning and a
small town flavor that appeals
to young families, vacationers
and retirees. Once you meet
the people you will want to
become part of the community.
Whether exploring the surrounding
nature, checking out the new
developments or recreating on
the lake this pleasant community
has a lot to offer anyone looking
for the good life.
